Reads a classic Esri Story Map and rebuilds it as a new ArcGIS StoryMap in your account. How much carries over depends on the classic template. Map Journal, Map Series and Cascade convert most fully, with their text, images, videos and live maps. Swipe and Spyglass become swipe blocks. Map Tour, Shortlist and Crowdsource become guided tours when their places are still shared. Basic and self-hosted stories bring over their main map and text. Countdown and Playlist can only be exported as text. A map whose web map has been deleted or unshared appears as a placeholder.
After converting your old storymap, be sure to set its sharing setting to Private.
Each classic entry becomes part of a new story. Text keeps its bold, italics, links, headings and lists; fonts, colours and sizes from the old template are dropped so the new story's theme can style it.
